FEES Mentorship

This program is focused on fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES). Share with us your needs and we can have a one-on-one virtual discussion. Our FEES mentor, Selena Reece M.S., CCC-SLP, BCS-S can reviewing studies, discussing the interpretation and results, starting a FEES program or troubleshooting roadblocks.

About Your Mentor

Selena’s Headshot

Selena Reece, M.S., CCC-SLP, BCS-S

Selena Reece began her career after graduating with a Master’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003. She has worked in acute care, outpatient, and inpatient rehabilitation settings. In 2011, Selena began teaching FEES training and interpretation, as well as supervising and mentoring SLP’s on FEES implementation.

She has been a Board-Certified Specialist in Swallowing since 2015 and a 7-time ACE continuing education award recipient.
Selena currently serves on Speech Therapy Cambodia’s FEES Advisory Board and sits on two committees within ASHA Continuing Education.

Rory O’Bryan, M.S., CCC-SLP, BCS-S

Rory O’Bryan is a Senior Speech Pathologist and Board-Certified Specialist in Swallowing at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC. She established and continues to lead her hospital’s multi-disciplinary tracheostomy team and has been instrumental in developing and bringing Respiratory Muscle Training, In-Line Passy-Muir Valve, and IDDSI programs to Duke Regional Hospital. She has published, presented, and been a podcast speaker on oxygen therapies, mechanical ventilation, and swallowing.

Candice Devlin, M.S., CCC-SLP, BCS-S

Candice Devlin is a Senior Speech Pathologist and Board-Certified Specialist in Swallowing at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC.
